SUP Sizing Made Simple

We try not to overcomplicate the sizing of our SUPs. Each product page includes a max weight recommendation, which is a great place to start when choosing the right board for you. There’s no exact science to matching a board to your size and weight, and there are always exceptions to the rule. As a general guide, if you’re under 6′ and below 85kg, a Cruise or Lite board will suit you best. If you’re over 6′ and 85kg, upgrading to a Carbon board will provide more stability and glide. If you want even more length and width, a tandem-sized board works perfectly as a solo option, as well as for paddling with a partner.

How SUP Size Affects Performance

The size of your paddleboard directly impacts speed, stability, and maneuverability . Narrow and long boards like the Sprint, designed for racing, and the Rogue, built for touring, are made for speed and efficiency. They glide smoothly through the water with minimal resistance, making them perfect for covering long distances. On the other hand, shorter and wider boards like the Lite, an entry-level SUP, and the Cruise, our best-selling all-rounder, prioritize stability and easy handling. These boards are ideal for beginners, casual paddlers, and those who want a versatile ride. Choosing the right size depends on your paddling goals and experience.

Match Your Board to Your Crew

Solo Paddlers

For solo paddlers, the Lite 10' is a playful, compact option, while the Cruise 10'8" remains our best-selling all-round board. If you're after something more advanced and even stiffer, the Carbon 12' offers top-tier performance, perfect for carrying extra weight or taking on bigger adventures.

A Small Crew

For adventures with a SUP pup or kids, 10'8" and larger boards offer plenty of space. The Cruise 10'8" is perfect for paddling with a dog, the Carbon 12' adds extra stiffness and room, and the Tandem 15' is built for two paddlers to explore together.

A Large Crew

If you're after a full-on water party, our Mammoth SUP is built for groups, with space for up to 8 adventurers to paddle together. Whether it's a family outing or a team adventure, this giant board is made for unforgettable moments on the water!
