The Future of Sustainable Paddleboarding
Bluefin actively supports paddlers working toward a more sustainable future. We have and will continue to donate boards to help those taking part in campaigns such as 5 Minute Beach Clean and Surfers Against Sewage. We’re always happy to discuss partnerships with accredited charities and organisations, so if you have a proposal, we'd love to hear from you.
In addition to working with campaigners, we've made a number of operational changes in a bid to become a more sustainable business.

Recycled materials
While we’re still to find viable alternatives to plastic in the manufacturing of our boards, we are pleased to say we’re using more sustainable production methods. Our Cruise Lite models feature laser-etched designs which minimises waste and the use of hazardous dyes and materials. Accessories is an area where we’ve made strides to only use recycled materials wherever possible. All our Bluefin T-shirts are made of 100% recycled materials (60% recycled organic cotton and 40% recycled polyester*) while our Heatwave changing robe uses 60% recycled sherpa fleece. *Global Recycled Standard Certified
Packaging
If you’ve bought anything from us recently, you’ll know that we’ve reduced the amount of plastic we use to package our products. Our entire range of boards and paddles is now elegantly packaged in recycled paper, significantly reducing our reliance on single-use plastics. We’re continuing to phase out any remaining plastic used in the process and aim to be 100% plastic free in the next five years.
